So you are a power user when it comes to Twitter.

You have got a legion of followers, you have a couple of Twitter desktop clients on the go, you schedule your tweets and you have multiple accounts.

Have you thought about getting tweets tagged with specific keywords emailed to your inbox?

Tweetbeep is a new service that allows you to receive Twitter alerts by email. It’s like Google Alerts for Twitter.

Here is a guide on how to set this up.

Firstly go to Tweetbeep, create an account and log in.

Click on New Keyword Alert,

Enter an Alert Name and the frequency you want these alerts to occur,

Next enter the criteria you want the alerts to be based on, then click <Save Alert>,

If others are sharing a link to your site (even if the URL is shortened with Tiny URL, Snurl, etc) you may want to setup a Domain alert. These alerts will ignore your own tweets.

Click on New Domain Alert,

Enter your site’s URL then click <Save Alert>,

You can also have these alerts as an RSS feed by clicking on RSS,

Done!

You will now start to receive email alerts based on your Twitter keywords,
